Being apart of what one could argue was the best Wayzata Trojan team in school history is proof enough of ones football ability, but being QB1 while holding a 123.5 passer rating throwing 535 yards for six TDs and two ints while rushing for two more touchdowns on a potent 6A offense during the Minnesota state playoffs gives me more than enough confidence to call one a stud. Well, let me introduce you to Wayzata's 2020 stud quarterback Tom Schmidt. The 6'1, 190 lber. just helped hang a banner in Wayzata's gym and is now looking for a college program to call home for the 2020 football season along with his twin brother and Wayzata's LB Matt. The leading Trojan passer in 2019 lead Wayzata to an undefeated 13-0 season and went 60-96 (62.5%) for 1,022 yards and 13 TDs with only two interceptions in the regular season. His 129.4 passer rating was one of the top ratings in the state, and this all came against the toughest teams week-to-week that Minnesota has to offer.
