Sparked by a perfect record in the Class AAAAAA games, Fargo Forum sportswriter Chris Murphy is the leader entering the semifinal round of the 2017 state tournament.
Murphy correctly predicted 21 of the 28 quarterfinal contests to assume a one-game advantage over KARE 11's Randy Shaver and Minnesota Score's Wally Langfellow.
Almost half of the 16 expert prognosticators are within two games of the lead after the quarterfinals. Class AAAAA had the most correctly predicted games with 56 of 64 winners selected. The most incorrectly picked games was in 9-Man with only 36 of 64 winners picked in Minnesota's smallest class.
Standings will be updated and posted on Sunday following the completion of all semifinal games. All helmet images are courtesy of the Minnesota High School Helmet Project website.
